One of the key ingredients in a 50-gallon moonshine still is copper. Copper helmet/onion: the copper helmet makes fine spirits by reducing the unpleasant flavor and making the alcohol considerably smoother. This is an optional choice for the distiller.
Column of bubble cap plates: The bubble cap plates are used for reflux.
The number of plates can range from 4 to 12, depending on the needs of the distiller. The more plates you use, the higher the percentage you can acquire for spirits.
Dephlegmator: The dephlegmator is essential to the overall still; without it, it is challenging to induce reflux. This device condenses your alcohol vapor as it passes through the various internal cooling tubes, allowing it to fall back into your column. The bubble cap plates may do their job, purifying your ethanol to very high proof.
Gin basket: the gin basket is used to load the spicy that makes flavor spirit that people enjoy.
The vapor traveling through the cooling tubes comes into contact with the cold water and condenses.
